Proper spacing is very important when doing any kind of group maneuvers. There are many different formations that my group uses, the most common one being a simple column. I will discuss formations in a future blog post.
The screenshot above shows a bunch of players WAY too close together. One frag grenade or a well placed mike 203 round can take most of them right out of the battle. There really is no reason to have this many people in a group this big. Communications would be a nightmare, and an enemy could be right next to you and you would never know it because you don’t know who is who.
You don’t want to be too far apart though because then you can’t offer medical aid if needed. In addition, it is easy to get confused when you are too far apart. Having your mates right at your sides builds confidence, eases communication, and minimizes your footprint in the area.
Next time you are out in the field pay close attention to your spacing.
